VIC:Vic police, paramedics praise NYE crowds
Police arrested more than 300 people across Victoria overnight but have praised the
behaviour of New Year's Eve revellers.
An additional one-thousand police were on duty statewide as people flooded Melbourne's
CBD and coastal towns.
Deputy commissioner KIERAN WALSHE says officers were satisfied with the 332 arrests
compared to 495 on New Year's Eve in 2010.
