VIC: Class action against Esso allowed to proceed

MELBOURNE, Feb 5 AAP - A consididated class action against Esso involving more than a
million parties was today given the green light to pursue damages potentially worth millions
of dollars against the petroleum giant over the Longford disaster.

An application by Esso to have three seperate representative legal actions against it
struck out was today dismissed in the Federal Court.
