Vic: North-east fires expected to grow
Firefighters in Victoria's north-east are bracing for another day of extreme conditions tomorrow.
A total fire ban has been declared across the state.
Strong winds continue to fan the fires, which have now burnt through more than 65,000hectares of bush.
Department of Sustainability and Environment spokesman MIKE LEONARD says fires aroundMt Bogong, Mt Feathertop, Mountain Creek, Bald Hill and Razorback merged overnight.
